Meatballs with tomato sauce and herbs

 



Ingredients

500 g minced beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 egg
50 g breadcrumbs
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp oregano
Salt and pepper
400 g crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
100 ml red wine (optional)


How to:

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper until well combined.
Form small meatballs and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
Add the tomatoes and wine, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Serve with fresh parsley
