Spanish Psychological Thrillers On Netflix

  • Mirage (Durante la Tormenta)
Two storms separated by 25 years. A woman murdered. A daughter missed. Only 72 hours to discover the truth. It is worth mentioning that one of the main protagonists in “Mirage” is “El Professor” from the popular series La case de Papel, Alvaro Morte, “magnet” for many here. “The Ophthalmologist” invites us on a journey back and forth in time, with a dark atmosphere and twists and turns, a film that moves between the thriller and the science fiction that you have to base on the details and in the end you will be compensated.IMDb
  • The Silence of the Marsh (El Silencio del Pantano)
A writer of crime stories discovers that reality is more criminal than the stories he writes. Based on the eponymous detective novel by Juanjo Braulio, “The Silence of the Swamp” is another tight-knit police thriller from Spain that deserves your attention. The protagonist, the well-known and beloved Pedro Alonso, Berlin of “La Casa de Papel”, maybe an extra incentive to see him in a different role.
  • The Invisible Guest (Contratiempo)
A successful entrepreneur accused of murder and a witness preparation expert has less than three hours to come up with an impregnable defense. This movie is really unpredictable, maybe one of the best in Spanish film production.
  • The Occupant (Hogar)
Javier Muñoz, once a successful executive, makes the fateful decision to leave his home, which he and his family can no longer afford. A film that balances between morality and absolute evil.
  • Boy Missing (Secuestro)
When her boy’s alleged kidnapper is released for lack of solid evidence, a reputable and well-known attorney takes matters into her own hands with unintended and spectacularly disastrous consequences.
  • Perdida
A police officer, whose childhood friend disappeared in Patagonia years ago, is starting a new search to find answers and is seeing her own life in danger. “Missing” is a film based on the detective novel “Cornelia” by Argentine author Florence Eceves, a production between Spain and Argentina. The action is set, at least in part, in the enchanting and snowy Patagonia, certainly something different from the rest of the films we present in this tribute. The film, without missing the various themes in the rhythm (it reminds us a bit of “Snowman” with Michael Fassbender that left us with mixed feelings), really deserves the attention of those who are looking for an anxious police thriller.
  • The fury of a patient man
  • A hard-working single mother and wife of a getaway driver who is about to be released are approached by an unassuming and gentle man, completely unaware though of his inscrutable and utterly impelling motives. A “tight” dramatic thriller with many twists and exceptional interpretations.
